Can’t Stop the Serenity Charity Screenings

So. This year we will be having t-shirts and posters printed globally once more. However last year we way over ordered, and will only really be ordering what people preorder this year. So if you know you want one of these. Let us know and we can make sure it gets ordered. Unless it causes problems, I’m happy to let you order them now and pay for them at the event. If you want them prior to the event, if they get in early enough we can ship them if they’re paid for.

T-shirts should be about $20-25, I’m hoping for the lower end.

For men’s shirts sizing should match this pretty closely (these are in inches, body width is from armpit to armpit across the chest)

This year we are hoping to offer women’s shirts as well, so do let us know if you’re interested in these. Unfortunately the t-shirt we are looking at using for the women’s style is what they call junior sizes and for bust size only goes up to 20.5 inches we are looking into using a different t-shirt, but no guarantees. Let us know if you’re interested in a women’s tee, and we can let you know what gets decided.

We would like t-shirt preorder numbers sorted as soon as possible as this helps us work out the price, as if we hit a new order no bracket, the price goes down and that can be passed on to you all. However, final orders are needed by May 6th.

And lastly. We are being given the special offer of being able to buy Quantum Mechanix Alliance Bank Heist Money kits to sell directly to you.

We will most likely sell these for $20 each (they’re selling at expo events in Au for up to $45). So you would be saving on getting them shipped from the US, and the little difference in the US/AU dollar. However I do need numbers for these ASAP. So if you want one, get back to me by Fri 28th so I can get the order in.

We will also have left over stock from last year put up on the website for sale at some point for a discounted price. So keep an eye out for that!

We will be selling Cadbury chocolates for a few months leading up to the night of July 4th, and a few weeks beyond.  This can be a big fundraiser if many people are willing to help sell the chocolates. if you are interested in helping with this, you will need to nominate if you want a box or a half a box, and be prepared to pay for them ($24 for half a box, $48 for a full box) upon pickup.

You would then keep the money from selling them. so if you have a tea room at work, a staff room, work in a shop or whatever, and think you can help us out, please contact me.

March the 1st –The Forums are almost ready for public release. A date and venue is set in Adelaide. Sydney and Melbourne are in discussions to hold a screening, and Auckland is looking at holding a fundraising event in place of a screening this year. There is still time for volunteers to step forward to organise screenings in places like Perth, Brisbane, Tasmania, and Canberra in Australia, and Wellington and Christchurch in New Zealand. The CSTSANZ committee has had a couple of meetings and are currently working on licensing, sponsorship, advertising and merchandising as well as a few other things.On the global front, we have a new coordinator, Beth Nelson, who is hard at work getting ready to launch CSTS 2008 to the world. A bit closer to home, a committee is being formed to represent the southern hemisphere screenings and a meeting has planned between all organisers of the Australian and New Zealand screenings from last year, as well as their teams of volunteers, to start working out the best way to proceed with the 2008 screenings. This Website and the CSTS ANZ committee have been put together in an effort to pool resources and knowledge across organisers and cities, to lighten the work load and to bring you all a better event.

This site will be under construction constantly as we add information as we get it, so bear with us, this is all very new to even us, but in the mean time, please feel free to visit the forums.

In 2008… Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Brisbane, Perth, and Canberra are all talking of holding an event.

This could be a big year for us Southern Hemisphereans. We’ve always been a minority in the grand scheme of things, although well respected by the other organisers across the globe, and this year, we intend to show them that where other countries are losing cites, we are standing to gain them!

If you think you could organise an event, or help to, please contact us.  These events could either be a screening or a fundraising event, on the weekend of 4-6th of July 2008.

Many of those requirements are something that we at CSTSANZ can help you with, if not do for you, as we try to share the burden of organising these events.
